Downtown Littleton Operation

P8150478
After finding out that both of the yarnbombs from our last operation had been removed, my sister (Knit Boss) and myself (Knovice) were feeling a bit discouraged today. We had planned to do an operation, but I had foolishly removed a creation I made at the Stich-n-Pitch for the Rockies game. Instead, we decided to scout the Downtown Littleton Light Rail statin. We found these two pay phones (who still has pay phones on the premises?) and thought they needed cozies. I goofed when I had to pull it over the ear piece, so mine became a bonnet instead, but a woman who got off the Light Rail walked by and told Knit Boss and I that they were cute.

We also did a little extra beautification with our spare yarn bits.

Southglenn Operation

P8010474 Over the weekend we ventured out to Southglenn outdoor mall in Centennial and left a few of our lovelies out. This is an easy pattern that takes a seasoned knitter about 15 minutes to make (though it would take me probably an hour and a half). My sister made it and we deposited in an unlikely tree near our favorite Crepe shop.

P8010472 This was an unexpected project. I made four granny triangles, instead of squares. The plan was to lay them out so that they would make a long rectangle. Instead, we screwed up the layout and the tops of the triangles made a nice tight diameter up top and a cone down below. We decided that a tree could wear a skirt just as well as it could wear a sweater.
